Boilerplate

One line

Hexnge is a match-6 puzzle from Revolt Games — swipe to swap, complete a row of six, and clear the grid across six modes.

Short

Hexnge is a free match-6 puzzle game from Revolt Games. Swipe tiles to complete a full row of six matching colours and clear it from the grid. Designing tiles for colour-blind players — a unique cut-out shape on every colour — created an opportunity to improve gameplay for everyone, especially at speed in Hyper, Hexfall, and Hexneon. Six modes — Classic, Challenge, Hyper, Zen, Hexfall, and Hexneon — cover endless high scores, timed clears, calm play, falling tiles, and neon tap-to-shoot. No account required. Available on iOS and Android at play.hexnge.com.

Long

Hexnge is a match-6 puzzle built around one rule: swap adjacent tiles, complete a horizontal row of six matching colours, and clear it. Tiles fall to fill the gaps. Most modes then add new pressure to the board, so every swap is a planning decision — not just a match. Every colour also has its own cut-out shape, so tiles stay distinct without relying on colour alone. That started as an accessibility choice for colour-blind players. It became a chance to make the whole game clearer: in Hyper, Hexfall, and Hexneon, shape plus colour is simply faster to read. Classic is the original endless 9×6 high-score mode, with Perfect clears and combos that reward clean play. Challenge adds levels and colour targets. Hyper is a 6×6 race against the clock. Zen is the same compact grid with no game over. Hexfall keeps tiles falling column by column. Hexneon swaps swipe-to-swap for tap-to-shoot as neon tiles snake along a lane. Progress saves in Classic, Challenge, Hexfall, and Hexneon. Hexnge is free to play, with optional ads and a one-time Remove Ads purchase. It is localised in English, Spanish, French, and German. Developed and published by Revolt Games.

Six modes

Classic

Endless 9×6. Plan swaps, chase high scores, land Perfect clears in three moves or fewer.

Challenge

Level-based Hexnge with colour targets. Later levels add fog, ice, and cage blockers.

Hyper

A 6×6 grid and a ticking clock. Clear every tile as fast as you can.

Zen

Zero pressure. No game over — when the board is empty, a fresh grid appears.

Hexfall

Tiles keep falling column by column. Clear rows to survive as the pace rises.

Hexneon

Tap the matching colour as neon tiles snake along the lane. Speed increases over time.

How it plays

Swipe any tile up, down, left, or right to swap it with a neighbour. Complete a full horizontal row of six matching tiles to clear it. In Hexneon, tap colour buttons instead of swapping. Think ahead — most modes add a new tile when a swap does not clear a row.

Shapes you can read at a glance

Hexnge tiles were designed so colour-blind players can clearly tell them apart. Each colour has a unique cut-out shape — not just a different hue — so a red tile never looks like an orange one, and cyan never collapses into blue.

That accessibility work created an opportunity to improve gameplay for everyone. In Hyper, Hexfall, and Hexneon the board is moving fast; shape plus colour is quicker to read than colour alone. Designing for colour-blind players made the high-speed modes better for all.
